Ubisoft is offering its multiplayer action title For Honor as a free download to keep for a limited time, with the promotion active until September 28th. The giveaway gives prospective players an opportunity to claim the game without spending any money.
However, the promotion comes hot on the heels of controversy. The game recently locked out a significant segment of players after Ubisoft effectively banned all Linux and Steam Deck users from participating, drawing criticism from the handheld and open-source gaming community.
While Windows PC gamers can take advantage of the limited-time free offer, handheld players on Valve's platform and Linux enthusiasts are left out in the cold due to the compatibility restrictions.
