Google appears to be working on addressing one of the most frustrating aspects of using Android Auto during phone calls. According to a report from Android Police, the platform is currently testing changes designed to improve how calls are handled on the in-car display.

For many drivers, interface quirks and disruptive call behavior have long been a source of irritation while navigating. This latest test focuses on refining the calling experience, aiming to make phone interactions smoother and less intrusive while keeping essential navigation front and center.

As with most Android Auto tests, it is not yet clear when the fix will roll out to all users or whether it will require an update to the core Android Auto app or the Google Phone app.
