Apple appears to be broadening the reach of its digital Car Key ecosystem. According to a report from 9to5Mac, three additional automotive manufacturers are slated to introduce support for the feature, expanding the list of vehicles compatible with Apple's keyless technology.

The Car Key capability, housed within the Apple Wallet app, lets drivers lock, unlock, and start compatible vehicles using an iPhone or Apple Watch. Depending on the vehicle model's technical implementation, the system utilizes NFC or Ultra Wideband connectivity to provide seamless access and secure digital key sharing.
