Apple has brought an end to the custom augmented reality exhibit at the Apple Park Visitor Center, retiring one of the campus's most recognized interactive attractions.
The experience previously allowed guests to point dedicated iPads at an aluminum scale model of the campus. Through the custom software, visitors could explore a detailed 3D visualization of Apple Park, revealing the main ring building, natural ventilation systems, and surrounding landscape in real time.
While Apple has not formally announced an immediate successor to the installation, the change marks the conclusion of one of the company's most prominent public showcases for mobile AR technology.
