ASUS is facing renewed scrutiny over its warranty and RMA procedures following reports of a severely mishandled repair request. According to recent reports, a customer sent in a $1,300 monitor for service, only to have the display returned in worse condition.
The unit was reportedly sent back to the owner completely unrepaired, with its USB ports missing entirely. To compound the customer's frustration, ASUS allegedly requested a full $1,300 deposit before agreeing to ship out an "advanced" replacement.
The situation highlights ongoing consumer concerns regarding customer service handling and warranty support for high-end electronics. Incidents like these continue to draw criticism from the wider tech community regarding brand accountability.
