Apple is continuing the global rollout of its Tap to Pay technology, officially bringing the contactless payment system to eight additional countries. The expansion enables more international merchants and independent sellers to process digital transactions securely.
Tap to Pay allows businesses to accept Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets using only an iPhone and a supported partner iOS app. This approach removes the need for merchants to invest in standalone card readers or proprietary point-of-sale hardware.
The multi-country rollout marks another step forward in Apple's growing financial services ecosystem, expanding merchant access and streamlining seamless payments in global markets.
