Samsung might be planning a significant silicon shift for its future flagship lineup. A new report indicates that the tech giant is currently considering the use of its proprietary Exynos processors for the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Historically, Samsung has favored Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips for its premier Ultra models across most global markets, even in years when standard and Plus models featured Exynos silicon in certain regions. Bringing Exynos to the top-tier Ultra tier would mark a major turning point in the company's hardware roadmap.
Because the Galaxy S27 generation is still well in the future, internal discussions and plans could easily evolve before any final hardware decisions are locked down. Nonetheless, the move reflects Samsung's enduring ambitions to strengthen its custom chip division.
