Google could be preparing to eliminate an important safety feature currently supported on the Pixel Watch 2 and the newer Pixel Watch 3. The potential change, spotted in a recent report by Android Authority, suggests a shift in the capabilities offered on Google's wearable devices.
Safety functionalities have served as major selling points for the Pixel Watch lineup, helping users stay protected with dedicated monitoring and emergency features. The removal of any key protection tool would come as an unexpected development for users who rely on the smartwatch for added peace of mind.
While the exact reasons for the potential deprecation and the transition timeline remain to be clarified, it is not yet known whether Google plans to offer an alternative solution in its place.
