A newly reported feature in iOS 27 introduces a software-based method to expand the visible bezel size on the iPhone Duo. The adjustment is designed to resolve interference issues that often occur between modern screen edges and third-party protective cases.

As smartphone borders continue to shrink, fitted cases can occasionally overlap active display areas or cause accidental touches along the perimeter. By allowing the software to slightly inset the active interface, the operating system helps ensure that interface elements remain fully visible and easy to tap, even when a bulky case is installed.

This software-level adaptation highlights the ongoing balance manufacturers must strike between slim hardware aesthetics and everyday accessory usability.
