The popular custom ROM project LineageOS has introduced its latest release, LineageOS 24. Built on Android 17, this new update continues the project's long-standing tradition of breathing fresh life into aging hardware that no longer receives official manufacturer support.
In addition to delivering the core features and underlying platform upgrades of Android 17, LineageOS 24 debuts a new way to install the software. The revamped process aims to simplify how users flash and set up the operating system on their supported devices.
