The mobile photography race is poised for another milestone. According to a new report, an upcoming wide-format, non-folding smartphone is set to pack two separate 200-megapixel cameras, signaling a major upgrade in sensor resolution.

While single 200MP sensors have made their way into premium Android flagships, integrating two ultra-high-resolution sensors into a standard slab device remains exceptionally rare. Such a setup could deliver massive detail across multiple focal lengths, whether for standard wide shots, ultra-wide landscapes, or zoom photography.

A wider non-folding form factor may also help provide the physical chassis space and thermal headroom needed to accommodate multiple large sensors without compromising the overall device build.
