Google's Pixel Buds are receiving a functionality boost with new control options enabled through Gemini connected apps. The update aims to streamline hands-free interactions by allowing users to manage various tasks more efficiently via the assistant.
Through Gemini's connected app ecosystem, the earbuds can interface directly with linked services. This integration allows Gemini to handle broader contextual requests and perform actions across integrated tools, providing a more versatile experience directly from the earbuds.
The addition reflects Google's ongoing push to position Gemini as the central intelligence across its hardware lineup. Connected audio accessories like the Pixel Buds serve as key access points for seamless, on-the-go interactions with the AI platform.
